'I just wanted to say a few words about how much I enjoyed my time on the Integrated Diploma Course. I have knowledge of several other courses, as you know, and I can honestly say that I believe that what you offer is some of the best tuition in the business. The fact that we get genuine practical experience in a non threatening environment really prepares for that real life exposure to our first clients. The style, knowledge and experience that you both clearly bring to the course I felt was invaluable to the students. I particularly liked the fact that there was plenty of opportunity to ask relevant questions and hear your experience of situations too. Many thanks again. Kind regards. Ashley.' PhD.

CBT * Hypnotherapy * NLP.

Hello, I'm Kerin Webb and I'm a tutor for Aurora Healing Ltd. I teach Hypnotherapy, NLP, Indirect Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training courses. I have extensive knowledge of all of these topics and lots of practical experience, gained in professional practice, enabling my clients to overcome addictions, phobias and other challenges.

'Well where do I start?! Kerin I cannot possibly thank you enough for that absolutely amazing training day last Saturday. When I left my head was absolutely spinning with all the newly acquired knowledge that you had shared. This has been an area of keen interest for a long time... Once again thank you so so much for that awesome experience last week. I look forward to our next encounter with keen anticipation. In the meantime I shall most definitely be recommending your training courses to others.' Nigel. Hypnotherapist (Master Class delegate).'

Actually, as I often state, I don't consider my work to be a 'job', but rather a vocation. I love what I do.

I teach in an interactive way, demonstrating everything I share, whilst providing plenty of time for delegates to ask questions and to gain good 'hands on' experience of their own, using the methods presented. This ensures that the 'theoretical' side of the training is quickly translated into practical 'know-how' for you.

Come and train with me. I'd be happy to share my knowledge and experience with you.

'You helped me so much. Thanks.' TV Presenter (Hypnotherapy/NLP client).

ChristianOConnellOver the years my clients and students have included several TV and radio presenters, psychiatrists, doctors, school teachers, bankers, journalists, corporate executives, solicitors, a commercial pilot, British peerage, a surgeon and a number of nurses - as well as many other people from all walks of life. As a result I've directly trained many professional hypnotherapists who are now themselves working successfully in practice around the UK and abroad.

The NME award winning host of Absolute Radio's breakfast show, and TV presenter Christian O'Connell kindly publicly highlighted me on his radio show for the help I'd provided to him in person, using NLP.

I have a good working knowledge of methods used by such Hypnosis/NLP experts as Dr Milton Erickson, Dr Virginia Satir, Dr Richard Bandler, Dr John Grinder, Paul McKenna and Anthony Robbins, plus CBT approaches first developed by Drs Aaron Beck and Albert Ellis, along with application of Dr Carl Rogers' Humanistic approach and Professor Frank Farrelly's Provocative Therapy protocols.

I also have an appreciation of the more obviously spiritually inclined perspectives to therapy of the kind championed by Drs Carl Jung and Brian Weiss. I favour the Multimodel approach advocated by Dr Arnold Lazarus and Dr Albert Ellis: this method encourages therapists to gain experience in a wide variety of modalities and then use whatever method works best in a given clinical setting to enhance the likelihood of a positive outcome for the client, rather than being inflexible by placing unnecessary limits on themselves due to excessive devotion to one school of therapy. I especially value the less well-known, but equally remarkable work of Polish psychologist Dr Kazimierz Dabrowski.

I can support you in person and by phone. If you'd like to talk about counselling with me, get in touch. I can help with the following conditions:

* Addictions,

* Anxiety,

* Borderline personality disorder (BPD)

* Career coaching,

* Confidence,

* Depression,

* Low self-esteem,

* Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD),

* Pain management,

* Panic attacks,

* Phobias,

* Relationship issues,

* Stress,

* Smoking cessation

...and more.

'You know Kerin…I believe that you will create a life of lasting fulfilment for yourself and those you care about'. Anthony Robbins. (Author of many self-development books, and regular guest on TV and Radio.)

'Hi Kerin, Just a little note to say a BIG, BIG, BIG thank you for yesterday. YOU are fantastic! I started to feel different immediately, calmer in myself...also, I feel different around food. I will keep you very busy, as I have family and friends who will want to visit you when they see the difference in me, thank you so much once again... xxx'. A.C. England.

I've been leading hypnotherapy and NLP training programmes since the 1990s, which include presenting courses for the Bournemouth Adult Education Centre, The NLP Learning Company and (of course!) Aurora Healing Ltd.

I was fortunate enough to have session of Neuro Linguistic Programming with Kerin Webb... He showed me that by tapping various points on my body whilst reciting positive affirmations I can alter the flow of Chi (the invisible lifeforce energy) thus changing my thoughts and behaviours. It worked the first time I did it and when I tried to 'test it' by thinking negative thoughts, I just couldn't! It's most bizarre. Anyone wanting a positive uplifting session please contact Kerin via the website.' A.C. Hants. (As published in her newsletter.)

My counselling and hypnotherapy practice is located in Christchurch, Dorset (England). I can also travel to other locations in the UK to provide support, by special arrangement. I have over 20 years' clinical experience, assisting others to stop smoking, lose weight, overcome alcohol addictions, reduce anxiety, extinguish panic attacks and phobias, improve relationships, etc.

Information about therapy sessions.

Stop Smoking - Start Living

What issues can you help me with?

Most psychological and emotional problems respond well to counselling. These can include addictions, anxiety, phobias, stress, etc. Personality disorders like borderline personality disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder can also respond well to therapy, in motivated individuals.

How long does a session last?

A session lasts for approximately an hour (smoking cessation approximately one-and-a-half hours).

Which method is best?

Generally I work in an integrative way, so that, as appropriate, I'll utilise the method(s) that my experience indicates is most likely to help you. This means that it's quite likely that you'll receive an integrative Hypnotherapy-NLP approach with Counselling-CBT, Life-Coaching and EFT/TFT included in the process.

What kind of experience do you have?

As I mentioned, I have over 20 years' experience and I'm fully qualified, having completed extensive classroom based training to a very high standard. I've studied with a variety of schools and colleges around the UK in order to obtain a very full and balanced understanding of the field.

You can email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or phone during office hours on 01392 580680 to enquire.

Can you make special visits?

Yes, I can make special visits to professional business people around the UK.

What's the difference between the various forms of therapy?

Let's answer this question by exploring hypnotherapy first, as possibly it's the method that people know least about. Hypnotherapy is a healing modality that enhances a sense of wellness (psychological, emotional, and physiological), when a person is in a state of relaxation. Many people don’t know this fact – but everyone experiences moments of natural hypnosis many times each day. It's the state of mind that occurs when you become absorbed in a good book, a captivating movie or a pleasant train of thought - where you just seem to drift off, 'leaving the world behind' as you find your mind wandering. We're all familiar with experiences like this.

You see, altered states like hypnosis occur when our brainwave activity switches from beta (fully alert) to alpha (hypnosis) and theta (deeper hypnosis) and it might surprise you to learn that you can do this effortlessly. In fact, just by closing your eyes your brainwaves will begin to slow into the relaxed state of alpha. (Is it surprising that most forms of meditation involve eye closure?) It’s quite natural for you to experience altered states of consciousness. You do it every day.

We all experience moments of hypnosis, however such moments of natural hypnosis can take the form of hypnotherapy - when a trained hypnotherapist is involved in the process, providing your inner self (your unconscious mind) with a range of special suggestions designed to help you in some specific way, perhaps to overcome an anxiety condition, for instance. When these suggestions accord with your aims your unconscious mind can choose to respond to them, in appropriate ways, thereby helping you to achieve your overall ideal.

Paul McKenna has perhaps done most in modern times to popularise the benefits of hypnotherapy through his TV shows in which he's treated lots of men and women successfully on camera, to demonstrate to the public the power of hypnosis (photo right).

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) was developed by Dr Richard Bandler and Dr John Grinder in the 1970s, so as a form of psychotherapy it’s relatively new. Applied Neuro Linguistic Programming can be used to modify the way we think (that’s the ‘neuro’ part) and the way we communicate with ourselves and others (that’s the ‘linguistic’ part) so that we can change unwanted behaviours by installing desired ones (that’s the ‘programming’ part).

NLP was largely developed from existing approaches then being utilised in the fields of indirect hypnosis and certain behavioural modification methods. Like hypnotherapy much of its power is generated by working with the unconscious mind, but unlike hypnotherapy this is achieved in a 'wide awake' state. This approach can often ‘side step’, so to speak, the many hours of work that can be required in some of the older forms of psychotherapy. When applying NLP principles you will learn to modify your thoughts, feelings and behaviours simultaneously in life-enhancing ways.

Anthony Robbins, who starred in the movie Shallow Hal, popularised this method around the world with his books and workshops, which are attended by thousands (photo above).

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy / Counselling.

My preferred counselling approach is the "solution focussed" Cognitive Behavioural Therapy method. This means that, as a generalisation, my focus tends to be on helping others to make life changes in the here-and-now, so that the quality of life in the present moment ...and by extension the future too can be improved. While knowledge of the past can be helpful, I believe that a preoccupation with it can shift the balance in the wrong direction. The past has happened. The present is the only moment in which we exist, while the future is being constantly formed by what we each do, right now.

In a solution focussed counselling session then, you will learn from the past, while being proactive in the present in order to create a better future. You'll have the opportunity to discuss your situation with someone who will listen to you and who will, in the process, explore your options with you, supporting you along the way.

The field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) teaches us that the kind of automatic thoughts, metaphors, images, self-talk, language patterns, beliefs and behaviours a person habitually engages in can influence that person for good, or for ill. Therefore in the process of therapy I will help you to gain insight, explore and where necessary learn how to replace any automatic thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that have been the cause of problems in your life. Such moments can feel like a personal epiphany.

Life Coaching.

Maybe you don't have a "problem" to overcome or a phobia to remove -  perhaps instead you want to advance your life in a certain context? Perhaps your career needs some improvement? Maybe your social life needs upgrading? Maybe you have some great idea for a business venture but you feel like you need to generate a sense of increased motivation to begin to explore the potential of whether or not it's viable? If this kind of scenario fits your situation - then that's when life coaching can be useful to you. If you want to improve the quality of your life through coaching, it's usually a good idea to talk with someone who's already applied these methods in their own life (so you're working from more than just textbook theory!). A good life coach will demonstrate congruity (meaning that they will have achieved some level of personal success in their own life, using these skills).

Thought Field Therapy (TFT).

Mind Body Healing

Thought Field Therapy was developed by Dr. Roger Callahan. This method assumes (based on evidence) that a person can experience upsets because certain energy fields ('thought fields') can become disrupted - the 'technical' word used to describe this phenomenon is 'perturbation' - and as a result such 'perturbations' can cause various kinds of psychological and emotional difficulties. However, when a person is led by a trained practitioner to tap lightly on certain locations, called 'meridian points' which are located on the upper body the psychological and emotional problems can often be released - resulting in rapid healing.

TFT is a form of 'Meridian Energy Therapy'. In essence it's based on the same kind of principles by which acupuncture (another scientifically proven meridian-based healthcare approach) reflexology and shiatsu are believed function.

The meridian points addressed by TFT are invisible to the eye – but exponents of Chinese medicine have been aware of their existence for thousands of years. The meridian energy which circulates both through and just outside of our bodies is believed to be akin to electro-magnetic energy (some call it ‘magneto-electric’) which, according to the ancients (as mentioned above) and in line with modern research it seems can become 'disrupted' in various ways.

So, whereas an acupuncturist uses fine needles to help treat problems a TFT practitioner will instead simply guide you to tap on certain of these meridian points located on your own body, in order to facilitate the clearing of the existing disruption in your 'thought field' (so that the electro-magnetic energy can begin to function properly again).

The indications are that many psychological and emotional problems have a ‘disrupted energy’ component to them. The science of Thought Field Therapy has built up an impressive body of evidence over 25 years regarding its efficacy, and it is now used widely to treat trauma victims - along with enabling men, women and children to overcome addictions, phobias and anxieties. (To read more about this and to learn about some of the scientific research that has taken place you can read 'Tapping The Healer Within', written by Dr Roger Callahan.)

Emotional Freedom Technique / EFT.

Banishing Phobias

A student of Dr Callahan, by the name of Gary Craig worked with Dr Callahan to develop a refined method of Meridian Therapy that could be applied in 'emergency situations' which has since become known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). This method utilises a principle called the 'Basic Recipe' which (pun intended) basically involves tapping on a specific set of meridian points for all presenting problems. It can be very effective.

The EOS Method.

After having utilised Meridian Therapy successfully for many years, discovering in the process that excellent results could be obtained when this approach is utilised in conjunction with NLP and hypnosis I developed a hybrid method, which I have called the EOS Method. It's proven to be effective in treating a wide range of presenting problems and I now regularly incorporate this special method into my treatment sessions. What's more, I've utilised this method in live training sessions to help men and women rapidly "delete" phobias and other longstanding emotional problems. (I provide training in this method to suitably qualified therapists. If you would like to know how you could gain a certificate in the EOS Method email me for more details.)

I'm qualified in both TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and EFT (The Emotional Freedom Technique).

There are two ways a counsellor develops specialist skills, which are either by actively choosing to train in methods that focus on treating specific psychological and emotional issues, or... in the course of their practice and overall life experience they meet individuals who are struggling with specific problems and as a result they learn how to help them, based on the extensive experience they acquire over the years treating these recurring issues in lots of people. I have developed considerable experience helping people to overcome crippling anxiety and phobias, to better manage obsessive compulsive disorder... and in helping men and women around the world through my popular videos and support services to better understand how to cope with borderline personality disorder. I consider these issues in particular to be subjects of specialism to me. Let's take a look at them...

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) And PTSD Fear of Abandonment Therapy.

"A personality disorder in which there is a marked tendency to act impulsively without consideration of the consequences, together with affective instability. The ability to plan ahead may be minimal, and outbursts of intense anger may often lead to violence or “behavioural explosions”; these are easily precipitated when impulsive acts are criticised or thwarted by others." World Health Organisation.

A useful book about BPD.I have extensive knowledge of both the causes of Borderline Personality Disorder and the self-destructive behaviours that BPD can trigger. Borderline Personality Disorder is a lifelong condition which evidence suggests in most cases is caused by a combination of childhood trauma and genetic predisposition.

BPD triggers intense emotions, especially around issues pertaining to attachment and fear of abandonment. This emotional intensity is caused by significant differences in the prefrontal cortex of the brain and hyperactivity within the amygdala, when compared to the brains of people without BPD.

"Researchers have identified unusually heightened activity in the amygdala, a brain structure that forms part of the limbic system... They believe the reactivity gives rise to a hair-trigger temper." Elizabeth Svoboda. Psychology Today. (Article here.)

Types of BPD.

Individuals with BPD fall into two categories known as "Acting Out Borderlines" and "Acting In Borderlines" (also called "Quiet Borderlines"). Acting Out Borderlines can be recognised by, amongst other things:

* Abandonment fears,

* Black/white thinking,

* Idealisation/devaluation of partners,

* Impulsivity,

* Push/pull behaviour,

* Rage outbursts,

* Tempestuous relationships,

Acting In (Quiet) Borderlines experience many of the same symptoms as Acting Out Borderlines, except that most of the time they internalise them, so, for example, rather than outwardly raging at a partner, they "bottle up" the rage, sometimes self-harming as a result, sometimes ending relationships abruptly, or giving partners against whom they're quietly raging the "Silent Treatment". (Self-harm occurs in a significant percentage of BPD sufferers, many of whom, literature indicates, do so for attention, with about 10 per cent miscalculating and unintentionally killing themselves.)

Overcoming denial to reach healing.

The good news is that in many cases Borderline Personality Disorder can be treated with positive results. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and other approaches have been shown to be helpful. The first and biggest step for the person with BPD (because denial is symptomatic of the condition) is to quit living in denial. Once the disorder is recognised and accepted then the potential exists for healing to occur.

If you'd like to discuss BPD therapy sessions with me, get in touch.

"I discovered Mr. Kerin Webb on YouTube, while searching for resolutions for my fears of abandonment and rejection, amongst other things. After watching his helpful video, I decided to contact him for assistance... I found Kerin to be kind, caring, compassionate, and very down-to-earth... I recommend Mr. Kerin Webb without reservation to anyone who is struggling, looking for help, or just needs someone there to listen. Thank you once again Kerin." Brian.

(The book called 'I Hate You, Don't Leave Me' offers helpful insight into this condition.).

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

I've had OCD since I was a child, although of course I didn't know it then.  In fact I didn't realise that I had OCD until I started training in counselling, hypnotherapy and NLP over 20 years ago and in the process of my studies I encountered references to the then 'new' (to me) condition called OCD and like a proverbial 'bolt out of the blue' it dawned on me that what these examples described explained some of my own experiences. I'd known that something was amiss as a teenager in the 1970s when I confided to a trusted friend about my 'phobia' (the word phobia was the best word I could find to describe an obsession that used to trouble me a lot at the time), but OCD is not a simple phobia.

Phobias vs OCD.

Phobias, on the whole, can be relatively easy to remove with applied hypnotherapy and NLP methods. While admittedly very unpleasant to experience, phobias are nevertheless just basically learned behaviours that can, with the correct treatment be 'unlearned',  rapidly (I've personally helped many people to overcome phobias that they've had for years, in minutes). Phobias are essentially emotional in nature (the word phobia means fear). OCD on the other hand is not a learned behaviour. OCD is very different (although outwardly some of the symptoms can look similar to phobias). OCD is organic in origin (meaning anatomical, physical), it's caused by, to use an electrical analogy 'faulty wiring' in the brain, not by learned conditioned response encounters to real or imagined fear-inducing situations (which is, in a 'nutshell', what causes a phobia).

The root of OCD: the basal ganglia.

Neuroscientists now understand that the brain of somebody born with OCD is 'wired' differently, in certain specific ways to that of a non-OCD person. An area of the brain known as the basal ganglia is seen particularly to operate in different ways in someone with OCD. Unlike most other people the basal ganglia in someone with OCD seems to work 'overtime' to seek to attempt to ensure that they always feel 'safe', in a variety of ways. For instance one of the most common compulsions to occur in OCD is the repetitive washing of hands. A hand washing compulsion is usually preceded by a contamination fear: the person feels that his or her hands have been contaminated in some way and in order to feel safe they're compelled to wash them to 'remove' the 'contamination'. Other forms of OCD cause some to repetitively check that kettles are turned off, or that doors are locked. Some will ruminate over a non-existent illness, whilst others will be troubled by recurring unpleasant thoughts. Others might have fears that they've 'sinned' against God in some kind of unforgivable way (this form of OCD is called Scrupulosity). As a result, depending upon the way the condition manifests the troubled individual will seek to find ways (like hand washing) to alleviate their doubts, in order to feel 'safe'.  However, this approach doesn't work, because 'what you resist persists', instead it reinforces the problem, making it worse! This means that trying to 'fight' a problem by repetitively washing hands, or by checking kettles and doors, or by constantly visiting the doctor for reassurance, or praying for forgiveness in an excessive way over real or imagined 'sins' only really serves to exacerbate the problem.

So what can be done? Lots actually. Evidence demonstrates that certain behavioural modification techniques which effectively help a person to learn how to reprogramme the way they respond to their obsessions and compulsions can have very beneficial results. Something else that can be useful too is to get together with someone else who understands what it's like to have OCD. Sometimes a person with OCD can feel very isolated and misunderstood, so meeting someone else who is successfully managing OCD can help to allay such fears.  By talking about your experiences with someone who understands your situation (both as a counsellor and as someone who has OCD) you will quite likely feel more comfortable to explore methods with me that can be used to gain more control over this condition.

You are not your OCD.

OCD does not define us. This is important to remember. You are not your OCD!  You are not your obsessive thoughts, nor are you your compulsions. Remember: OCD occurs due to they way your brain is 'wired' causing the basal ganglia to work 'overtime', in the process of which this can generate obsessions and compulsions (your brain is actually trying to help you, it's just going about it in a misguided way). Interestingly, evidence suggests that people with OCD are usually among the most conscientious, considerate, honest and friendly people you're likely to meet. Contrary to what many people with OCD feel (which is a sense of shame and guilt due to their obsessions and compulsions) they actually have a pronounced good conscience. Imagine a 'moral continuum' on which you have at one end of the line the sociopaths who have no conscience (and this doesn't bother them) who go out of the way seeking to manipulate and hurt people... well, guess who's on the other end of the continuum(?)... it's those with OCD(!) who who have an overly pronounced conscience!

I've overcome many OCD challenges in my life, nevertheless I also understand though that OCD is a lifelong condition, requiring ongoing management. If you have OCD, the same applies to you. However, with commitment, by regularly applying the methods I'll share with you, the balance can be tipped in your favour.

Call me on 01392 580680 to arrange a Telephone Counselling appointment, or a meeting in Christchurch, Dorset.

(The book called 'Imp of the Mind' offers helpful insight into this condition.)

I've thought carefully at various times about whether or not I should include details about my work as a psychic on a website mainly promoting my work as a counsellor and trainer, because of how some people might perceive this topic, but at the end of the day, I think authenticity is important and since it's such a meaningful part of my life and since probably the majority of people these days are quite open to this form of spirituality I've chosen to include helpful information on this spiritual subject too. So... here we go: I work as an evidence-based clairvoyant psychic medium, providing readings to clients in person and to callers from around the world. Without any prior information about my clients, with the support of my spirit guide, Aurora, I receive accurate evidence about their departed loved ones, including names, nicknames, personal characteristics, details of significant life events... often along with meaningful information about each client's current and recent life circumstances, coupled with other helpful messages.

'Hi Kerin, I wanted to thank you for the reading... everything was so accurate! I'm certain I will be seeing you again! Kim'. England.

In this regard I've been featured in the UK and USA printed media, including Chat It's Fate Magazine, Take A Break's Fate & Fortune Magazine, TAPS ParaMagazine, Mensa's Vox Pagana and Intrepid Magazine. I was also interviewed on Dorset's Hot Radio, Forest FM and twice by BBC Radio, about my work as a psychic/medium.

Group Mediumship Demonstration at the Springfield Hotel(Photo: Group Mediumship Demonstration at the Springfield Hotel)

'Kerin, I can’t tell you how amazing my reading was with you today. I have had many psychic readings in the past, but never any in which I got so many points of confirmation. And the accuracy was astounding. So many things you said just blew me away. Thank you so very much, Kerin. All the best, Lynne.' America.

It's important to recognise that the subject of psychic/mediumship has been extensively tested by modern scientists and shown to be a genuine phenomenon. See, for example, the work of professor Archie Roy in the UK and professor Gary Schwartz in the USA. The considerable amount of high-quality evidence gathered suggests that the avowed skeptics are actually on the wrong side of science!

I approach my work as a psychic/medium in an evidence based way. All readings therefore contain highly specific meaningful information relating to each client's circumstances. Often clients are astounded by the degree of specificity and the timeliness of the messages presented in readings. Past, present and it seems even future events have been highlighted accurately during readings. To see testimonials relating to such events visit my website at www.kerin-webb.co.uk, where amongst other testimonials you can see a photo of an angel figurine that I highlighted in advance of its mysterious appearance for a client in America.

'Thank you for the call Kerin... it was incredibly insightful, more than I could have imagined... I don't know how you do it... I wanted to say a huge thank you and tell you how amazing you are! Many thanks, Lizzie.' UK.

Psychic readings can be helpful therefore with regard to gaining insights into daily life events, opportunities and challenges... and what's more, as a means to gaining evidence of the survival of departed loved ones, and of the continuation of life beyond death, in general. (Studies at the University of Arizona generated odds of 100 trillion to 1 against chance in the extensive experiments conducted into researching the phenomenon of psychic/mediumship.) Above all, readings can be a spiritually uplifting experience.

Additional experience.

I'm the author of the clinical hypnotherapy book called The Language Pattern Bible and I've been a member of Mensa since 1993 where I've have had several articles printed in Mensa publications. I'm also a member of the high IQ society called Colloquy.

Robert Gordon University.

I was delighted to be invited to become a contributing author for the new Clinical Hypnosis Textbook - A Guide For Practical Intervention (third edition), which is a core textbook for the Master's Degree training programme in clinical hypnotherapy for Robert Gordon University.

This programme has been led by Professor Ursula James, who is the core textbook author, and other chapter contributions have been made by experts in the field, including William Broom of the General Hypnotherapy Register, plus Tod Curry, Shaun Brookhouse, Dan Jones, Jacquelyne Morison, C. Roy Hunter, Andy Tomlinson and Mark Davis, whilst Dr Ernest Rossi, who is one of the world's leading hypnotherapists and co-author of several books written with the equally legendary Dr Milton Erickson, has contributed the foreword. Graduates of our Hypnotherapy Diploma Course, upon joining the General Hypnotherapy Register, are eligible to apply for a place on this Master's Degree programme.

Southampton Solent University Hypnotherapy Research Project.

Two employees of Southampton Solent University who attended hypnotherapy training with Aurora Healing Ltd (which included tuition in anxiety, panic and phobia treatment protocols) were involved in a research project conducted by the university which examined the efficacy of hypnotherapy in the context of helping university students in a number of key areas relating to their university activities. In a report of the project's findings published in the September 2011 edition of The Hypnotherapist the report states:

'...93% of the participants showing a total decrease across the anxiety related areas (indicating improvement)... it has been shown that Hypnotherapy does contribute to reducing anxiety for all participants and to improving the ability to cope and general mood for the majority of students.'

The authors of the report highlighted a number of specific techniques in the article, which they'd learned on our training programmes, that they'd then applied in the university research project as the methods used to achieve these results.

You too can learn how to apply the same methods in your own career as a hypnotherapist with understanding, precision and confidence, by training with Aurora Healing Ltd.

The American Health Magazine.

The outcome of the Southampton Solent University study corresponds very well with a recent research project conducted by the American Health Magazine, which found in a comparison study of Psychoanalysis, Hypnotherapy and Behaviour Therapy that the results experienced by the patients involved were as follows:

• Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions,

• Behaviour Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions,

• Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions.

The British Medical Association.

In 1999 the British Medical Association's British Medical Journal reported: ‘A systematic review has found that hypnosis enhances the effects of cognitive behavioural therapy for conditions such as phobia, obesity, and anxiety.’

The British Psychological Society.

What's more, in a report compiled by the British Psychological Society titled 'The Nature of Hypnosis' it was concluded: 'Enough studies have now accumulated to suggest that the inclusion of hypnotic procedures may be beneficial in the management and treatment of a wide range of conditions and problems encountered in the practice of medicine, psychiatry and psychotherapy.’

American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis.

And in a 1972 edition of the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis is was stated that: '…many cognitive and behavioural therapies were themselves originally influenced by older hypnotherapy techniques’.

The above examples are just a fraction of the large body of available evidence that exists which scientifically demonstrates the efficacy and wide-applicability of hypnosis and in making plain to see the influence hypnotherapy principles have had in the development of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Some of the biggest names in hypnosis and NLP.

Kerin Webb Hypnotising Stephen Brooks

In order to evolve my own skills I've trained with some of the world's acknowledged psychotherapy experts, including Anthony Robbins (NLP Life Coach), Paul McKenna PhD. (Hypnotherapist), Dr Richard Bandler (Hypnotherapist and co-developer of NLP) and Dr Brian Weiss (Past Life Regression expert and author of Many Lives, Many Masters). I also attended one of Derren Brown's live stage shows, in order to observe his remarkable use of hypnosis/NLP principles firsthand too.

What's more some of the world's experts have also presented training courses for me in Bournemouth, including, Matthew Manning (the world's most scientifically tested healer), Stephen Brooks (Indirect Hypnosis expert), Professor Frank Farrelly (developer of Provocative Therapy) and Dr Milton Erickson's protege Carol Lankton MA (Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, trained directly by Dr Milton Erickson himself and a regular presenter at the annual Ericksonian Congress).

I believe it's important to attend events led by experts of renown where possible, because there's no substitute for first hand experience.

Ultra Hypnosis Audios.

Banishing PhobiasKerin Webb

Andrea and I recorded a range of state-of-the-art professional hypnotherapy CDs called 'Ultra Hypnosis'. Our Ultra Hypnosis recordings include many examples of indirect hypnosis/NLP 'language patterns' which not only help people to make the changes they want to make but which are also a good source of reference for trainee and professional hypnotherapists who are learning how to improve their hypnotic fluency.
